Q: Which versions of Windows can run cServer?
A: Windows versions of cServer are supported on XP, Vista and Windows 7. The 32bit cServer will run on 64bit Windows. The windows client libraries are 32bit only, but will run correctly with 32bit applications on 64bit versions of Windows.
Q: Which versions of Linux can run cServer?
A: CereProc ships cServer for 32 and 64bit versions for Linux, that are compatible with Python v2.4, v2.5 and v2.6. The Python v2.4-compatible binaries are for Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Centos 5 and deriviatives. The Python v2.5-compatible binaries are for Fedora 10 and the Python v2.6-compatible binaries are for Fedora 12.

Q: Why is the server available as 8kHz and 22kHz versions?
The 8kHz version of the server voice is intended for use in telephony environments. The 22kHz version has higher-quality audio in the speech output.
