Junior Software Developer

The Role

CereProc is looking for a Junior Software Developer to work on new and existing products, to help support and maintain existing code, build software installers, and be actively involved in developing testing strategies. The post on offer is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to join an exciting, growing company, in a role that will give the successful applicant experience in many areas of software development and speech technology. As part of the development team, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute directly to CereProc's continuing success.

The salary range is dependent on skills and experience. This position is permanent with a 3-month probationary period.

Required Skills

The successful applicant will have obtained at least a 2:1 in Computer Science or an alternative numerate discipline. Strong object-oriented programming skills are a must, preferably in C++ and/or Python, with experience of development in a Linux environment. An ability to demonstrate experience of implementing software solutions, and the ability to work individually or as part of a team are also necessary.

The role requires an individual who can demonstrate dynamism, flexibility, problem solving, creativity, and the ability to learn new skills as required. CereProc expect and encourage our employees to generate and implement new ideas.

Experience in speech synthesis, text processing, phonetics, linguistics or speech recognition may be advantageous but is not required.
