I’ve given up correcting people when they mispronounce my name (it’s Helle – as demonstrated here by CereVoice Ada: sound icon)

Most of the time I get called Heather or Helen or even worse, Hell or Hildi, so I’m pretty happy when people get even close to the correct pronunciation.

24/05/2016 CereProc wins a prestigious tender

We’re excited to announce that CereProc has yet again beaten tough competition to win the prestigious tender from the Swedish Agency for Accessible Media (MTM) to improve their TTS offering.

We’ll keep you posted with more news as the project develops. In the meantime, here’s some interesting facts about Sweden:

• Swedish became de jure official language of Sweden only in 2009. (Interestingly, Swedish was an official language in Finland before it was in Sweden.)

03/12/2015 CereProc and CALL Scotland Announce World's First Scottish Gaelic Synthetic Voice: Ceitidh

CereProc and CALL Scotland have collaborated to produce the world's first Scottish Gaelic synthetic voice Ceitidh (pronounced as "Katie"). The Ceitidh voice is available for Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X and may be freely downloaded by schools, FE colleges, universities and public sector organisations in Scotland.

10/11/2015 CereProc and Aristech GmbH Announce Major Partnership Win in Austria

CereProc and long term German partner Aristech GmbH - a leading supplier in the field of natural man-machine interaction - have successfully won a long term contract with Austrian Federal Railways (OBB) to equip all Austrian stations with a combination of Aristech and CereProc technologies.

OBB Group is Austria's greatest transport network, every year 469 million people board OBB's transport systems. It has been estimated that 1.3 million travellers per day use OBB's transport system to travel safely to their destination.

16/10/2015 CereProc's CSO on Radio Wolfgang

Radio Wolfgang recently produced a series: the lives of others. The documentary strand provides a unique insight into modern life, examining domestic and global stories.

One of the episodes focuses on Austro - Hungarian author and inventor Wolfgang von Kempelen and how he created his own speaking machine. The episode talks about his research on speech and how his speaking machine helped influenced others in the speech synthesis field.

Data Science for Media Summit is held at the Informatics Forum at University of Edinburgh, the summit has been jointly organised by the UoE, the Alan Turing Institute and the UK National Institute in Data Science.
