28/04/2015 CereProc Working with MND Scotland on Voice Cloning Service

CereProc have been working with MND Scotland to raise awareness of our voice cloning service: CereVoice Me.

CereVoice Me allows users to replicate their own voice quickly, without leaving the comfort of their own home, and at a much more accessible price than traditional methods allow. This breakthrough service is designed to meet the needs of those who have been diagnosed with MND/ALS and face losing their voice. For every referral to CereVoice Me through MND Scotland, 10% will be discounted from the cost of the service and CereProc will make a £50 donation to the charity.

CereProc have a history as pioneers of voice creation, having created bespoke personal TTS voice for beloved film critic Roger Ebert and NFL player Steve Gleason. An optimised, online voice-building process means that CereVoice Me is even faster and more affordable then CereProc's traditional voice creation methods. There is no need for a studio or specialist equipment, and recording is completed at the user's own pace - in as little as a couple of hours. The recording process simply requires a quiet room, and a special headset microphone which CereProc provides.

CereProc's CEO, Paul Welham, said:

"An MND diagnosis means that a person faces the loss of their voice and, with it, a great part of their identity. Off-the-shelf TTS voices, even of the highest quality, just don't cut it as a replacement. We knew we had to do more to make CereProc's advanced voice cloning technology available to those who need it most, and so it is with great pleasure that we are now able to launch CereVoice Me with the backing of MND Scotland."

MND Scotland is the only charity funding research and providing care and information for people affected by Motor Neurone Disease in Scotland.

CereProc has developed the world's most advanced text to speech technology and voice software. CereProc's core speech synthesis engine, CereVoice has been deployed successfully in education, healthcare, robotics, call centres, voice branding and marketing, and across the creative arts industries.
