Q: Which versions of Windows can run cServer?

A: Windows versions of cServer are supported on XP, Vista and Windows 7. The 32 bit cServer will run on 64 bit Windows. The Windows client libraries are available in 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

Q: Which versions of Linux can run cServer?

A: CereProc ships cServer for 32 and 64bit versions for Linux, supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 and 6 (and compatible distributions such as Centos, Scientific Linux, and Amazon Linux). Clients are provided that are compatible C/C++ and Python (2.4 on RHEL 5, 2.6 on RHEL 6).

Q: Why is the server available as 8kHz and 22kHz versions?

The 8kHz version of the server voice is intended for use in telephony environments. The 22kHz version has higher-quality audio in the speech output.
