Q: Which versions of Linux can run cServer?
A: v5 cServer is available for 32 and 64bit versions for Linux, supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 and 7 (and compatible distributions such as Centos, Scientific Linux, and Amazon Linux). Clients are provided that are compatible with C/C++ and Python 2.6 or 2.7.
v6.0 cServer is available for 64bit versions for Linux, supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 (and compatible distributions such as Centos, Scientific Linux, and Amazon Linux). Clients are provided that are compatible with C/C++ and Python 2.7 or 3.6.
Q: Which sample rates does cServer support ?
The cServer support 8kHz and 48kHz voices. The 8kHz version of cServer voices are intended for use in telephony environments. The 48kHz version has higher-quality audio and may be used in applications such as announcement systems, alert systems and any applications that use multiple channels of speech synthesis.
Q: Does cServer support MRCP?
MRCP v1 and v2 are both supported via CereProc's MRCP Connector.
