06/03/2014 World Book Day 2014: Whose line is it anyway?
Listening to books is an increasingly popular use of text to speech. In a flash, you can transform your library of ebooks into audiobooks and continue the story while you're commuting, running, cooking, having a bath and so on. You could even browse CereProc's range of voices to match up each book with the perfect narrator; if you read your books on an Android device we have plenty to choose from over on Google Play. To mark World Book Day 2014, we've used our TTS voices to put together a quick audio quiz testing your knowledge of famous opening lines. Can you name all four pairs of titles and authors without sneaking a look at the answers?
Do you like to listen to books using text to speech? If you still need convincing, why not tweet us the name and author of your favourite book - we might be able to create a little sound bite so that you can hear what you're missing!
